When it comes to this, i think there is no gamer in the world to disagree with what's been said. Yes, we are biased. But so is everybody. I dare saying it like a little child: they are way more biased then us gamers.

Sounds more of like those people who just want attention. Many people will go through the effort of getting recogizned. Even if it's 7.38 seconds on National T.V... That is Heaven for them.
When people blame the influence of game violence to a child. Normally they just wana talk shit. Althought it does have slight positive effects and negative effects. Most people will not care about how violent it is. While others will just despise, complain about it. And others will carry them out. If we honestly wanted to protect humans from the "evil" in the world. Might as well kill yourself.

Shocking news comes from Fort Bend of the removal of an asian high school student possessing a custom made video game level based on a local Texas high school on his home personal computer. Many swords were also confiscated from the suspects bedroom.
|
The fuck is with that? You gotta base your video games off something, and why in the hell were swords confiscated? I'd be more worried about pencils, pens and shit. If I see somebody with a gun, sword, ray gun. I'm going to stand 1000 ft. away from them and wait for the police or the S.W.A.T.

Pretty much. Swords are too obvious and unwieldy to do anything but look pretty on a stand, and there aren't really any negative consequences or side-effects from videogames for people that are well-adjusted individuals.

Exactly. This person would probably have killed someone anyway, regardless of whether or not he plays video games. Who knows, it even could have made the crime a little bit less bad.

My opinion? The nuts don't fall far from the tree. If your child is such an impressionable prick that he massacres a school because of a video game, it's probable because parents are probably the kind of impressionable bastards that don't let their children read Harry Potter and say Rock bands are the devil, and sue whatever company they can lay the blame on, you know, like a violent video game company or something.

Agreed but you can't blame it all on genes. I say parents have a great deal of blame in it because in most of such cases, children are neglected and barely ever talk to their parents about anything. That is definitely not a good thing as parents never get the chance of noticing that their children are going crazy nor do they care because they have a career to push or a bottle to drain or whatever.

It's partially the parenting as well. The more you shelter your child, the more they will seek to act out.
My parents have made it clear that I can do basically whatever the fuck I want. Do I take advantage of this? No, I don't abuse my parents trust so that I don't lose the privlidge.
It's the ultra-protective parents that have their kids sneaking out at night that are the problems here. They essentially damage the way their children view the world and if they go to play a video game knowing what their parents think of it, it might just make the experience that much more real for them.

Hi! I'm a Gray Area! People use me when black and white are both too extreme!
Actually, if you're dumb enough to jump off a bridge on purpose, your parents not caring is a rather mild case in comparison.
