Kosovo's independency: yes or no? (and why)
So i wanted to hear you point on this topic
I THINK: they should have it, they are the only part of former Yugoslavia that ain't independent.

Serbia is fighting for the Kosovo for years now;it is somewhat understandable if you study the Serbian history, many of their historical battles have been led there. And it was Serbian territorry way-way-waaay before the Albanians even started coming there.
Sadly,Serbia had placed the fate of Kosovo in a bunch of psychopaths with cleavers. They killed everything Albanian they saw out there, and in return,Albania sent their psychos.
Albanian Psycho kills a Serbian Civilian's child.Serbian Civilian becomes the Serbian Psycho and kills an Albanian Civilian's wife. And so begins the chain reaction of hatred that will probably exist amont the two nations for a looong time.Plus theres the fact that every kid growing up in Serbia is being taught to hate the Albanians, and every kid growing up in Albania is being taught to hate the Serbs.
Now my personal oppinion is that Kosovo shouldnt be separated from Serbia, although too much blood has been spilled over it,and it really isnt worth it.I dont really get why Bush wants to give it to the Albania so bad,its not like theres any oil or anything he could drain like he did in Iraq, and Serbs most certainly pose no threat to America.I guess he just cant resist sticking his nose into other people's bussiness. It isnt his to give anyway.Of course,we were given a free choice. We could refuse to give away Kosovo and get bombed like we were in 1999.A lot of people i knew that had absolutely nothing do do with it,died in a bombing, just cause some politician asshole had to act like a tough guy and tried to tell Clinton to fuck off.
Kosovo should be Serbian territory. But things as they are, trying to do so would result in a bloodshed. No one needs that.
I dont really give a damn about what happens outside my ife,but being sent down there with a gun isnt really what i wanna do with my future.

there are diamonds in Kosovo. Pure diamonds. By "giving it to albania" Bush also pays lots of $ to albanians, telling them to be quiet whil he extracts all he needs. He also got a milaterally outpost there. Bush sucks balls.

Theres also a hell lot of oil in some countries in europe.By establishing control in Kosovo,he could make a route for transfering oil from lets say,Turkey to Italy.
Im not going to involve in this thread anymore.I dont care about politics, and im not very informed on whats going on in the political world. So as far as the topic is political,i probably wont have anything smart to say.

Well, I think that they shouldn't of (too late now though :P). But who wants to see another ethnic mini-nation? It's just going to complicate things and it pretty much causes things to go chaotic.

I would agree on several conditions:
1) the move was consented to by Serbia and the rest of the world FIRST.
2) If it was an honest to God attempt to be free, and not an oily scheme. Right now it really appears the latter.
3) They didn't decide to drag the rest of the world into their insignificant conflict.
Russia has already stated that they will move into Kosovo should the US void their agreement with NATO and the UN and back Kosovo.
So, that's two major powers, taking sides. The good thing is that many countries are trying to stay neutral, Canada among them. In the previous World Wars, people got dragged in because of treaties and agreements, forcing everyone to take sides.
But, if not resolved properly, this could absolutely boil over into a world conflict. The US has intentions of backing Kosovo's independance, and hey look, Mother Russia decides Kosovo should stay part of Serbia.
Then Old China comes along and god knows what happens next. I can see China aligning with Russia and backing Serbia rather than supporting Kosovo with the US, but you never know, they may stay neutral.

Probably the only reason why Russia stood up for Serbia is cause Serbia sold them a large oil company for 10 times less than its worth. The company didnt have much potential in Serbia, but in Russia's hands, its a real gold mine.
Russians have agreed with the Serbia that they will stand up for them;however they have pulled a line that they wont cross, most certainly not for an oil company.
Whats actually gonna happen is,if the America doesnt agree to give Kosovo back,Serbian politicians will tell everyone its cool, tell the Russians its cool and say goodbye from it.
This was just a desperate attempt,a bluff to take Kosovo back.Russians wouldnt really go to war for it.They just owe Serbia a favor and they decided to play the game for a while.
The rest of the world isnt getting involved mainly because they dont care.

Oh but they do. Russia is damned serious here. They said that they would move soldiers into Kosovo should the US break its terms and do the same.

In part I agree with it, but in part I don't, because it could/will lead to war.
