Simple cause and effect is what determines what outcome will occur.

I slap you, you feel pain...There is no random outcome where that slap turns you into a mutant female who bites my head off from the other side of the planet.

Well, that leads us to the paralell universe theory. You slap me, an endless amount of paralel universeses opens, each one containing a different outcome, and yes, in some of them, i do bite your head off. But of course, it's just a wild theory.

Personally, I don't believe anything is truly random. Where does randomness come from? Suddenly for some no reason something just happens?
I believe that if you truly knew everything about a starting configuration, you could calculate the result.

It's possible, but very unlikely. As per our limitations, we cannot calculate everything. This is where we invent randomness.

I vaguely remember reading that the Mayans predicted something good would happen in 2012, like a religious miracle. This confirms that.

Concerning randomness:

Every event is caused by some other event. If you know every bit of data related to a system, you will be able to predict everything that will happen in that system. We humans can't predict some things very well because we just don't know enough.

It is interesting that multiple ancient civilisations predict an apocalypse at (more or less)the same time. Not that i worry about anything, i can't do a dam thing aout is so il just let things happen until i actually can.
