BlackArmsShadow has little to show at this moment (3)

Will the Hive Workshop extend to Starcraft II?

Will the Hive Workshop also feature Starcraft II map content when it is released?

Who knows, in my opinion since most of wc3 is going to sc2 i assume they are because if not eventually hive will die out. But those are just my 2 cents.

I'll totally leave this place if they don't. (The hive won't last long after the release of Starcraft II and its Scum Editor.)

I asked a similar question May 19th, 2007 (when sc2 was announced), and the reply came back fairly positive. (If you want to go dig it up, it's in Site Discussion somewhere)

The Hive has plans to fully support SCII when it is released. We have a forum for it for a reason.

Every major warcraft 3 fansite will either convert or die out. The only hope for WC3 is that the new SCUMEdit will suck, so everyone will continue to mod WC3. But I doubt it.

Once we get nearer to the SCII launch, we'll hear more about this.

The wc3 editor will(guessing) seem pretty outdated compared to the new editor. If the Starcraft II editor will be a lot more advanced then the World Editor should be a stepping stone for those who aren't so skilled.

Starcraft I even still has modifications going for it. I remember finding a list of some total conversions for it somewhere... but yeah, MODDB or something like that has PLENTY of Starcraft projects, more unfinished than not, but there are alot still going.

I was more curious about whether or not they would do both Warcraft III and Starcraft II for a while before completely converting.

That's what we will do. Even now, we are in a transition stage: We do a very small amount of SCII and mostly WC3. Gradually, we will do more and more SCII, especially after its launch until there is next to nothing for WC3 and then mostly SCII.
