Tile Paint

Just bringing this idea up, what do you guys think about instead of using the square 2 by 2 tiles like in WC3, use "tile paint", where basically you are in photoshop with textures, and you set transparency and brush size etc, and you paint the ground texture, like developers do in games like world of warcraft and the Battlefield series (you can even look in the BF2 editor, it's really fun to terrain in that if you know your way around it)

I personally like this idea, it will allow for much more precise detail and realism.

Please share your opinions in the thread and not just the poll.

I would like to see it in the editor but I don't really care. Lol... But it might be fun for someone.
Post this in the suggestion for the Scum Editor thread Karune created.

Brilliant idea. It would make custom texturing 5000 times easier.

You dont make drawings with the terrain =_=, its more of overlapping things without tile restrictions.

I think its fairly awesome, would make greater realistic effects.

Yea, kind of like in C&C Generals editor (triggers suxed in that one thought), where you first draw the terrain, then ''fade'' it out into each other, making a good looking terrain.
