StarScraft 2 release date

Blizzard has announced a Starcraft 2 Release Date for 10/1/08

i got that from here. Its the only place i have found this they also have demo play movies photos. Looked like to me that they have good coverage by what they have

Knowing Blizzard, they'll delay it earlier.

And I heard somewhere (IGN or something) that December was the current date, though that was ages ago.

i heard a while back it was gonna be release early 08, so we will never know until blizz makes the faq's with it

You do know this is blizz we're talking about right? i mean they never stick to promises

I'm guessing late 2008, early 2009 or somewhere in the second quarter of 2009. Blizzard has a bad habit delaying their games to make them good.

Wait, bad habit? How is delaying release until they've made a decent game good/great a bad habit? I would much rather wait a few months and get a great game than get a mediocre game sooner.

Blizzard never delay anything

They do this by NEVER giving a release date. People just make up their own ones and, when they obviously don't come true, blame Blizzard for delaying it

You're right. Also the StarCraft II's project leaders also said that they'll release the game as soon as it is done.

Well, as long as they include as much as possible options, customizations and stuff in editor, i'm fine with waiting. The thing i really wouldn't like to see is editor not being as powerful as they promised.

Ohhh... Starcraft 2 zone? Thats the same site that hosts 2 or 6 "Play STAR2 DEMO At starcraft 2z!!" and then shows:

Play their demo, and you can tell us close it looks to being done . Don't trust it unless you yourself get it right from blizzard, IMO. It may be a acurate guess, But don't make any plans off of it.
