The way I see it, world peace will not possible because of all the different cultures, religions, ways of life etc. we have nowadays. Take the Israel vs Palestina conflict, it's basically based on religion where both parts share the same goal. Pleasing one part would just piss of the other.

As long as everyone is not impossibly exact replicas of eachother, there will never be world peace.
In fact, there will never be world peace period. People will always find something to disagree over, no matter how trivial it is in nature.
That's just who we are.

Yes, but as long as people can convince others to fight for them, you will have organized war. That is the weapon, persuasion.

As far as I'm concerned, it takes a real authority to convince someone to do that.

My theory is, once something nonhuman threatens the earth, something extremely dangerous and imminent, then maybe, just maybe, humans will come together and work to stop this threat. The odds are slim, and it is quite possible that we would immediately go back to fighting each other. Nothing unites a people like a common enemy. It's easier to forget about our differences when something imminent distracts us from them. It's just like in W3, the races uniting to stop the Legion and then going back to fighting almost instantly. So if World peace refers to peace among humans, then it is possible in the case of a disaster. If it refers to complete and utter peaceful existence with all things living and nonliving, it's extremely improbable. Also, if world peace means peaceful existence forever, that's impossible. We'll always be different from each other and see things differently.
