Skinning Contest 10 Ideas

I know the poll for the ninth one isn't even up yet, but I see no harm in starting to brainstorm for the next one. Why leave until tomorrow what can be done today :P. I don't have any really good ideas right now, but I have one I think is sorta shitty. I think it would be cool to skin units of a certain race into units of another race. My Nightelf Paladin reskin of arthas that I just submitted to skins section is a good example. Turnin nagas into firebeasts or humans into nightelves or orcs into undead. Just a race transformation. I hope you all have better ideas than that piece of crap.

I like your idea for the Race Transfer idea. I don't really want a 'theme' if you know what I mean. Like fire, nature, or holy. The race to race thing gives us lots of freedom, but it restricts us to only a few models.

Anyways, my ideas is Ancestral and Arcane (AaA). Take whatever skin you want and make it into a 'caster' of some sort. Like with runes, arcane-imbued armor, and such.

Two skins? Farseer and Gul'dan. Grom and Thrall. Arthas and Deathknight. Grunt and Raider. Grunt and Kodo. Knight and peasant and so forth?

Some models are similar, I suppose, but it seems a bit limiting. Unless you mean to make two skins appear to be mounted/dismounted forms of one unit?

Terrible and limited idea, why not just fucking cnp people would say. Honestly, id host a theme about creativity and originality, that theme lacks it, no originality at all.

I was merely giving an example of a pre-existing mounted/dismounted unit. You would have to succesfully fuse enough similarities into two different skins that people would think it was a mounted and dismounted version.

I still think that idea is a little limiting. I had another idea, maybe we could skin units into elementals. Not just by like turning the whole thing into a blob of color. But have cool armored elementals for all the elements. Also I really like the darkelf idea. There are tons of models you could use for it, not just four. I have some sweet ideas about how to make a decidedly evil looking elf of the darkness.

I like the race changing idea. Should have a lot of good possibilities
