AoS hero contest

self explanatory

This will never work simply because you can't justify any judging criteria you use, as it's all arbitrary. Which AoS do you use as the baseline? DotA? ToB? DoE? No matter how you structure it or which base you use, you have a break in structure, skill types, interacting systems, and so forth.

If you're going to do a hero contest, keep it to something you have the baseline to judge from.

just dota because everyone knows it. or just pick something. oO

Maybe you should submit a "DotA Hero Creation Contest" and see how well it goes over with the general populace of the site.

And does everyone know it? I don't know it very well, so I wouldn't be able to enter. Guess I could make a hero with critical strike, storm bolt, roar, and vampiric aura and score pretty well, though. :p

Actually, that's pretty much the skillset of one of the most popular DotA heroes; King Leroic, the Skeleton King.

If you really haven't played DotA, then you have my sincerest ROFL for hitting the mark dead-on. :D

We already have a long series of mapping contests planned out, and I can say that this one wont be happened within 2008.
