Pheonix Competition #3 Poll

Our participants were sent on a vigorous task to create a mighty set of icons that relate to the powerful elements, the gods are pleased. Here are the following warriors that completed their quest, judge them now!:

1. All icons must adhere to the established icon rules.
2. Active and disabled versions of all icons are required.
3. No plain screenshots (or shallowly modified) icons are permitted.
4. The icons must be made specifically for the contest. No previous works are allowed.
5. Blizzard icon naming conventions must be followed: BTNAttack*.blp etc.
   • Example: DISBTNHoldPositionBlackDoom.blp
6. Works in progress (WIPs) of the icons are encouraged as they keep the contest active.
7. The icons must be physically attached to a post when complete. (.blp files only!)

Judging (HappyTauren and Werewulf):

• 50% of the score will determined by a public poll. The rest of the score will be determined by one or more specialized judges.
• Critical judging elements for both voters and specialized judges are:
  • Creativity. The icons' originality and uniqueness are vitally important.
  • Blizzard feeling. Icons should be executed in such a manner that they can be implemented in a Warcraft map and compliment other Blizzard icons.
  • Technical Note. The quality of the icons is the most important thing. They must be detailed yet clear (throwing a lot of elements in a 64x64 image will usually look crowded).
  NOTES: If your entry was not show its entry post or file was not uploaded with its entry post. Your icons may have not followed the rules.

Great entries everyone.

TDR's icons were clearly the best, though. ;)

TDR entry look the best especially the tsunami icon.

TDR's were great but sansui's were also very good.

Sansui icon are good, but it seems to be too dark.

TDR For the Win! [starts counting teh money for voting in favor of TDR], :D.

Actually TDR's are very good, sansui's are good but they lack something.

This is first time I comment competition.
Well I like the most CombatWombat's icons!

Three letters: TDR. Period.

Though Sansui's icons were made extremely well, TDR's ones had character, if ya know what I mean. Besides, their colors are flawless.

So my vote goes to TDR, but my applause go to the rest of the competitors, and I'm gonna rep Sansui for a job so well done.

Similiarly to frostie, my vote goes to TDR, and I am going to rep Sansui for his icons because they are amazing. But I truly had a difficult time deciding on who I voted for. The ONLY reason I voted for TDR's over Sansui's was because TDR's icons felt ever so slightly more to fit in with other Warcraft 3 icons. But San, well deserved rep coming your way regardless.

My vote goes to TDR, altough Sansui´s icons were also great, but I think TDR´s icons are more warcraft-ish

I seem to agree with everyone here. TDR's were great, and so were Sansui's but Sansui's lacked that... "it" factor. Great job though!

It's safe to say TDR wins... xD

Ezhekiel did a pretty damn good job too.

I'd say it's a tie between Sansui and TDR in terms of quality, but TDR sticked more to the theme. TDR pretty much wins this.

Ezikielth. I think TDR's Icons are the best but he already has 20 votes, my vote wouldn't affect his chances of winning by much. I like TDR's use of people in his icons but I love how clear and interesting Ezikielth's are, lovely colors too.
