Purdy Pink Illidan (finnishing up... finally)

Well this is a year old skin which I finall started back up again. Got most of it done. Hair, hoofs, and tats is all that I need to finnish. Of course there will be some minor tweeks too. Such as his little head band thingy needs more contrast. So I will darken the area around the eyes and will also be doing some more reflective glows here and there. Horns look kinda weird so i might do them as well.

Critique away.

P.S. at this rate I might get my SII stuff done about a year from now :D

I think you also need to put a texture on his horns. It looks, meh... :|

Everything is too defined imo. That's a compliment to you, but a detriment to the skin itself. Maybe try blurring it a tad.

Blurring is bad. It is a bit too defined but WIII skins generally need to be well defined. Much of this skin is a year old and I am just trying to skin the rest of it to the way I had going back then. I could make it less defined but that would be a big edit. And if I were to get going down that path. Then I wouldn't likely ever return :P Actually what I would like to do is finnish this skin and then totally redo it high res as the traditional grayish blue Illidan.

On another note, the portrait and the full model use the texture differently. I was trying out the tats and looking at the portrait then swapped to the full body and it all stretched funny. Should I skin it to the full body model or the portrait? I was leaning towards full body because you wont be able to see them much in the portrait but that sorta goes for the full body as well.

Well I hurt my left eye somehow. And has been bugging me the past day and a half. So I can't really sit in front of the computer for long periods of time skinning. I don't anticipate it putting me back more than a couple of days.

That sort of led to this. Got bored and since I couldn't skin much I did this... Put my skin on the texture for Illidan transformed and this is what I got. Oh the possibilities!!! It would be a bitch cause the wings use the texture of his right arm but I allready have an idea for a solution to that. Don't worry I wont be running off and do this. However tempting it may be. My first priority is getting my skin done.

Oh just saw something. The portrait would be weird cause of the glow but I could work around that.

Why does he transform to have different wings?

Cause blizz is weird. They never needed an evil Illidan. Transformed one was more than awsome. When TFT came out I thought Illidan devolved or something since he absorbed guldan's skull in RoC.

Well I had an idea. I had always thought the satyr skin had a rather DH feel to it. Sooooooooo, I put on a satyr skin of mine (shiny rep for the genius who figures out what skin it is) and the legs and tail matched up perfectly. If I do a little searching for the horns and kept the skin a fairly uniform color (which I think is how it would look best anyways) I could easily see this as a viable skin. I cnped some shit together and vwalla (no idea how to spell that) I got this:
