Icons for Director's Cut Models

The contestants are to create 1 unit icon and 3 ability icons for a Director's Cut model of their choice.

• Active and disabled versions of all icons are required.
• No plain screenshots (or shallowly modified) icons are permitted, only scratch/freehand work is allowed.
• The icons must be made specifically for the contest. No previous works are allowed.
• Blizzard icon naming conventions must be followed: BTNAttack*.blp etc.
• Works in progress (WIPs) of the icons are encouraged as they keep the contest active.
• The icons must be physically attached to a post when complete. (.blp files only!)
• An in-game screenshot must be included with all submissions.
• Judges may not participate in the contest.
• No irrelevant, non-constructive or off-topic posts will be tolerated in this thread.
• It is strongly advised that you keep your original large image files to prove your authenticity if the need arise to do so.
• Only icons for unit\hero models are allowed.

• First Place: 45 reputation points and your entry on the award icon
• Second Place: 30 reputation points and an award icon
• Third Place: 15 reputation points and an award icon

• Each judge will receive 5 reputation points.

• 75 % of the winner shall be determined by the contest's appointed judge(s).
• 25 % of the winner shall be determined by the results of a public poll

U can choose a DC model that has a fitting icon, there's no problem in that.
But if u want to upload it in the icon section, u have to ask permission from the model's author.

Should have asked all DC authors for permission to speed things up and not overflow all of them with contestants' PM/VMs

This looks like my type. I'd do the Prime Matron but that's so mainstream and ratchet, even I can't help her anymore lol.

There's not enough good models (for this contest only, no offends to any of creators as models are indeed epic) that are simple to execute an idea around, so I guess few people will be doing the same model, yes.

Footman16, the contest shouldn't be entered to be won if you're a new iconmaker, it should be entered to get experience, professional feedback from both other contestants and judges, and to get the overall experience of participating in such a contest.

Just becase experienced people are joining, doesn't mean you should drop out

Oh, I'm not dropping out because of the other contestants I'm dropping out because I doubt I'd get all the icons made in time and with the full dedication required.
