Right now im writing a story about 2 characters get lost and cash land on a unkown jungleish planet, i need advice on how to make a extremely detailed jungle map for my RPG
what i need help with is basicly Terrianing
"Lakes" "Waterfalls" "Platues" "Little City's" "Tree's "and "abonded wrecked villages"
if you could spare me some screen shots i could have a better idea on how to terrian it, and as always helpers are loved by me and included on credits. :)

Although I am not an exper on terrain I do know the basic process.
1. Lay out terrain. It is important to design the terrain around your gameplay and not the gameplay around the terrain.
2. Avoid simple shapes like squares and circles and plains when starting to add detail.
3. Start placing terrain objects to give the place life (again, avoid regular patterns).

Looking at photos is a great way to see how a terrain should be done. Specify what kind of Jungle you want. What part of Jungle you want. Experiment. Use as much variation as possible. have narrow/wide rivers go through a very clustered jungle, high trees, rocks, and again - flora. If you can, add as much animal variation as possible - go beyond the ordinary animal looks. Add vibrant-colored species...
I could go on for hours and hours, but your best guess on how to do this is by looking at pictures and try to replicate something alike (not the same, just alike).
