Epic desert problems.

Here is a desert.

At first glance when the pic is mini sized, it looks epic right?

WRONG!

It is totally bare, and the trees dont fit, and there are no doodads except for trees and birds.

What can be done to add more doodads to a desert without ruining its epic feeling?
please give me some pointers. i need to learn !!

First of all, it's too bright. Fix that so I can see the whole thing and then I will help you more

Deserts have rocks and cacti.

trust me there is nothing to see beyond that brightness.

just ugly abre trees

I'd take out all the trees that are in the background, and make the view larger, or the trees smaller.

so i should put it to 120 ?

and the trees, should i make the foreground trees way smaller?

i personaly wouldn't take the trees out, but they do look like there floating... try adding misc vegitation around bases of the trees so the look like there growing out of the ground. and it is WAY to bright, but thats been covered already.

i brought this up cause i dont really see anyone with epic barrens screenies.

the only ones i saw were in the legendary thread. the desert... i think that was it though.
