Range increasing

Is there a way how to increase range for one unit (not long rifles for all units).
I want to make a trigger which increases range of unit which goes on high ground, but I dont know how could I increase the range..
 
Well, the best way to do this is probably to replace the unit with another one completely identical but with increased range. There are ways to change the range without replacing the unit, but they are very difficult and clumsy to implement, and in my experience aren't particularly reliable. Just go with the unit replacement method.
 
won't work, Heero.

He wants any ranger from any unit type to get additional range when on a high cliff. And you can't possibly create an upgrade for each unit on the map.
Besides, I'm sure he wants the rangebonus to disappear when the unit leaves the cliff, which is "impossible" to do with upgrades.
 
well I just found that there is a casting range on normal searing arrows, in normal wc3, there is 600 (normal range for priestress of the moon) on the first level, 700 on 2nd and 3rd. so I got an idea, if that thing wont work. Units would get just one ability which level would depend on how high they are and it would have autocast
